Deepak Vaid

Director – Sunbeam Industrial Products Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Deepak Vaid is the Director of Sunbeam Industrial Products Pvt. Ltd., bringing over three decades of hands-on experience across heavy earthmoving machinery, material handling equipment, hydraulic systems and railway machinery, including locomotives and mechanised maintenance assets. His career is defined by system-level understanding of equipment operating in high-load, safety-critical and mission-driven environments.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University (1992–1996). To complement his technical foundation, Mr. Vaid has pursued advanced management education, including a Certificate Program in Management, Marketing and People Management from Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay, a Management Development Program in Finance (General) from XLRI Jamshedpur, and a Business Mastery Program focused on leadership and strategic execution.

Under his leadership, Sunbeam has expanded from component-level engineering into multi-domain system support across railways, industrial infrastructure, defence platforms and specialised material handling applications. His approach combines engineering discipline with calculated risk-taking—enabling Sunbeam to take ownership of complex overhauls, retrofits and lifecycle extension programs where reliability and accountability are paramount.

Mr. Vaid is widely respected for his ethical conduct, fairness and long-term relationship-building with customers, partners and teams. Nandan D. Patil

Director – Technical & Engineering (Partner)

As a key partner at Sunbeam, Nandan Patil brings deep application and system-level expertise that strengthens the company’s engineering capabilities across hydraulics and special-purpose machinery. With over 25 years of experience in hydraulic systems design, engineering integration and execution, he plays a central role in translating complex operational requirements into reliable, field-ready solutions.

He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Karnataka University, which laid the foundation for a career focused on applied engineering and system design. At Sunbeam, his core responsibilities include the design and manufacturing of hydraulic systems, development of special-purpose machines and technical oversight of customised solutions tailored to demanding industrial and defence applications.

Mr. Patil has led and supervised multiple turnkey projects, ensuring end-to-end execution—from concept development and system engineering to manufacturing, testing and commissioning. Under his guidance, Sunbeam has successfully delivered complex engineering solutions for defence platforms and private industrial establishments, where precision, safety and performance are critical.

Known for his methodical approach and strong application knowledge, he actively mentors engineering teams and drives a culture of problem-solving, adaptability and execution discipline. Vikrant Rakshe

Director – Automation & Control Systems

Vikrant Rakshe is a seasoned automation professional with over 16 years of experience delivering control and automation solutions for mission-critical applications across multiple industries, with significant contributions to the defence sector. His expertise lies in designing, engineering and executing automation systems where reliability, precision and system integrity are paramount.

He holds a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering and has completed advanced PLC training at Siemens, Pune. His technical capabilities span conventional PLC-based control systems as well as advanced CAN bus communication architectures used in complex, distributed machine environments.

One of his notable achievements includes the successful implementation of the Danfoss PLUS+1® controller platform for a prestigious defence program—requiring deep integration of control logic, safety protocols and field-level hardware under stringent validation requirements.

As Director – Automation & Control Systems, Mr. Rakshe leads the design and manufacturing of automation solutions, overseeing system architecture, control logic development, hardware integration and commissioning. He plays a key role in enabling customised automation solutions for defence and industrial platforms, ensuring that systems perform reliably under demanding operating conditions.

Known for his disciplined approach and strong learning orientation, he actively drives knowledge-sharing within engineering teams and focuses on delivering solutions that meet both technical and customer expectations.
